Much has been written and said about the tragic event. Here’s the last part of ifilm’s review of artworks on Imam Hossein (AS) heroic resistance against the gigantic army of the polytheists, being published when the 7th day after the Imam’s martyrdom is marked by Muslims.

The event of Ashura back in 680 CE, is the history’s most painful tragedy in which a divine leader, Imam Hossein (AS), along with his 72 companions, withstood the tyrant ruler of the time, and were martyred, after which their family members – women and children – were captured and transferred to the ruler’s palace, about a thousand kilometers away.
